Clos de la Coutale 2023

Clos de la Coutale is a family estate in Cahors, in south-west France, the historic home of Malbec. Cahors Malbec is fresher and more structured than Argentina's, and this is a classic, great-value example.

80% Malbec with 20% Merlot creates the right balance: a wine with structure and roundness, lovely ripe, gentle, brambly fruit and good length.

Serve with: duck confit, cassoulet, steak or hard cheeses.
