Dom. Cailhol Gautran, Carretal 2023

Domaine Cailhol Gautran is an organic estate in the Minervois, in the Languedoc in the south of France, where sun-baked hillsides covered in wild herbs give warm, characterful reds. Carretal is made with no added sulphites.

A superb ruby colour, with notes of black fruit, blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose. Round and full on the palate, with spices that reflect its terroir and a peppery finish.

Serve with: grilled lamb, sausages, cassoulet or hard cheeses.
