Vieux Telegraphe, Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2020

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's most famous estates, run by the Brunier family. Its vineyards on the La Crau plateau are covered in the large, rounded stones (galets roulés) that store the day's heat and help ripen the grapes. The domaine takes its name from an old telegraph tower that once stood on the plateau.

Bright and complex, full of ripe raspberries and red cherries, with aromas of black tea, coffee and crushed stones. A big, chewy wine with great ageing potential.

Serve with: roast lamb, beef, game, truffle dishes or hard cheeses. Decant an hour before serving.
