Bodegas y Viñedos Merayo is a family winery in Bierzo, in north-west Spain, where old vines on slate and clay slopes give Mencía, the region's native red grape, its fresh, floral character.
Vibrant, clear purple-red. An intense, very fresh bouquet of berries and violets. Spacious, fresh and creamy on the palate, with ripe, rounded tannins.
Serve with: roast pork, grilled lamb, chorizo or mushroom dishes.
