Ch. Pavillon Rocher, Saint Emilion 2016

Saint-Émilion is one of Bordeaux's most famous Right Bank appellations, centred on a beautiful medieval hilltop town. This unusual blend gives Cabernet Franc an equal share with Merlot, and the 2016 vintage was one of Bordeaux's best in recent years.

Expressive ripe black cherry, blackberry and pink peppercorns. Extremely well structured, with good concentration of red berry fruit, a slight touch of smoke on the finish and smooth, well-integrated tannins.

Serve with: roast lamb, beef, duck or hard cheeses.
