Ch. Vieux Riviere, Lalande de Pomerol

Lalande-de-Pomerol lies just north of Pomerol on Bordeaux's Right Bank, separated only by a small stream. It makes Merlot-led wines with much of Pomerol's plush, velvety character at a far friendlier price.

Strong crimson, with elegant, spiced aromas. Well rounded, fruity and spicy, with a violet top note, discreet tannins and a good finish.

Serve with: roast beef, lamb, duck or mushroom dishes.
