Charbonniere Vacqueyras 2023

Domaine de la Charbonnière is a family estate best known for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which also makes excellent wine in neighbouring Vacqueyras. Vacqueyras sits at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail in the southern Rhône and makes rich, spicy Grenache-based reds.

Dark fruit with lovely touches of violets, black pepper and wild herbs. Medium to full-bodied, with smooth tannins, a lovely core of fruit and wild herbs, and a great finish.

Serve with: roast lamb, beef stew, game or hard cheeses.
