COS, Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico 2021

COS is a pioneering estate in Vittoria, in south-east Sicily, famous for its natural approach and for ageing some wines in clay amphorae. Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Sicily's only DOCG, blends the juicy Frappato grape with the deeper Nero d'Avola.

Brilliant ruby red, with black cherry, blackberry and plum alongside raspberry, violet and tobacco. The palate mirrors the nose, with a touch of tannin, refreshing acidity, a full body and bold flavours.

Serve with: tuna, pasta alla Norma, roast pork or charcuterie. Lovely slightly cool.
