Domaine de la Soumade is one of the leading estates in Rasteau, a southern Rhône village that earned its own appellation in 2010. Grenache thrives on Rasteau's warm, sun-baked slopes, producing rich, characterful reds that rival nearby Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Ripe and well balanced, with a vibrant nose of red and blue fruits. On the palate, enticing raspberry and blackberry flavours evolve into more savoury, spicy notes, finishing lively and lifted.

Serve with: slow-cooked lamb, beef casserole, game or a hearty winter stew.
