Paul Prieur, Sancerre Rouge 2022

Domaine Paul Prieur et Fils is a multi-generational family estate in Verdigny, one of the historic villages of Sancerre in the Loire Valley, now run by brothers Bruno and Didier Prieur. Their vineyards cover Sancerre's classic soils, including Kimmeridgian marl, limestone 'caillottes' and flint. Red Sancerre is made from Pinot Noir and is a lighter, elegant alternative to red Burgundy.

A delicate red cherry palate with a faint hint of smoky spice on the finish.

Serve with: roast chicken, salmon, charcuterie or goat's cheese. Lovely slightly cool.
