Pietracupa Aglianico "Quirico"

Regular price £29.95

Pietracupa is Sabino Loffredo's small estate in Irpinia, the hilly inland heart of Campania, east of Naples. It's one of southern Italy's most admired producers. Aglianico is the region's great red grape, sometimes called 'the Barolo of the south' for its structure and ability to age.

Very fragrant, with plums and black pepper and notes of leather from ageing. A structured, dynamic mouthfeel, great flavour and a pleasantly tannic finish.

Serve with: slow-cooked ragù, roast lamb, sausages or aged pecorino.
