San Silvestro, Barbera Appassimento 2022

San Silvestro is a family winery in Piedmont, north-west Italy. For this Barbera, some of the grapes are left to dry (appassimento) before fermentation, concentrating the fruit and giving a richer, rounder style.

Elegant and silky, with ripe blueberry and cherry jam flavours complemented by delicate toasty notes. The richly fruited palate is balanced by lovely freshness and a velvety texture.

Serve with: lasagne, slow-cooked ragù, roast meats or hard cheeses.
