Thistledown, Gorgeous Old Vine Shiraz 2022

Thistledown Wines was founded by two Masters of Wine, Giles Cooke and Fergal Tynan, to make modern, characterful Australian wines. Gorgeous is an old-vine Shiraz co-fermented with a little Zibibbo (Muscat), an old trick that lifts the aromatics.

Stone fruit and delicate raspberry on the nose. Lovely and silky on the palate, with enough tannin to tease, baked strawberry and a dash of crushed black peppercorn.

Serve with: barbecued meats, lamb, pizza or burgers.
