Clavellina Rosado, DO Condado de Huelva, Spain, 2024

Clavellina comes from Condado de Huelva in Andalucía, south-west Spain, a historic wine region near the Atlantic coast, better known for fortified wines. This rosé is made from Syrah, which gives it more depth than most pale pinks.

Pale salmon-pink in colour, with red berries on the nose. Surprisingly weighty, fleshy and well structured despite its youth, with excellent balance between freshness and persistence.

Serve with: tapas, paella, grilled chorizo or barbecued chicken. Serve chilled.
